Security Vulnerability in Internet Explorer – Windows XP killer?

Is today when Windows XP really starts to disappear?

Microsoft has published details of a flaw in all versions of Internet Explorer. There is currently no patch available to mitigate the effects of this vulnerability. When such a patch is made available, we will update this blog. In the meantime, where possible, it is suggested to use alternative browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.

Of more concern is that any upcoming patch, for this vulnerability, will not be made available for Windows XP. As such, this is the first detected flaw that, in our opinion, makes Windows XP no longer suitable in a business environment. For more details, take a look at this update update.

To those of you looking for more detail on the technicalities of this flaw, Microsoft offer details on same, including options for mitigating its affect with various workarounds, here here.
